Trun Cultura
Our heart beats for Trun – for its important artists, writers and musicians, but also for its historically unique buildings.
Nationally and internationally renowned names such as Alois and Zarli Carigiet, Matias and Hendri Spescha and others should be made accessible to a wide audience, but also enter into a dialog with the current and rich cultural life of the region and be communicated in a contemporary way.
To this end, TRUN CULTURA is revitalizing historically significant buildings in Trun. They will be put to public use in accordance with their original purpose.
Association and organization
The TRUN CULTURA association was founded on January 16, 2020. The board is broadly supported by representatives of the artist families, the municipality and other local cultural institutions.
The association is supported in working groups by experts in museum development, culture, marketing, architecture and heritage conservation.
In the meantime, numerous members, including sponsors, patrons and sponsors have joined the association and the associated patronage committee.

Project management
Esther Spycher was appointed project manager in February 2024.
She completed a Master’s degree in curatorial studies in 2008 and has been working in education at the Fondation Beyeler since 2015, but has also been responsible for various cultural projects.
In 2022, she completed a master’s degree in cultural management at the University of Basel. Trun Cultura is therefore an ideal challenge for her to bring her knowledge and interests to bear.

Architecture and construction management
The architectural firm gasser, derungs, based in Chur and Zurich, has been actively involved in the development of the TRUN CULTURA 2018-2019 project since the preliminary phase and, in collaboration with the expert committee and project management, has designed various scenarios that now serve as guidelines for the structural implementation of the sub-projects.
Remo Derungs and Carmen Gasser bring with them a wealth of experience in museum and monument architecture.
Patronage Committee
The members of the patronage committee are ambassadors for the vision of Trun Cultura and support its implementation in a variety of ways, including with their personal and business networks.
The committee includes personalities from politics and culture as well as friends of the Trun Cultura vision.
It is chaired by Domenica Carigiet, a daughter of Alois Carigiet, and Toni Carigiet, the son of Zarli Carigiet.
