The public guided tour offers you an insight into the current exhibition ESPACES IMAGINAIRES by Matias Spescha and Esther Mathis.

Both Matias Spescha and Esther Mathis question spatial dimensions with their spatial constructions, paintings, sculptures and installations. These manifest themselves concretely in SPAZI SPESCHA, constantly changing through the movement of visitors in the exhibition and at the same time providing space for spaces – whether real or imaginary – to emerge.

The curators Seraina Peer and Venice Spescha and curator Markus Hilfiker will guide you through the exhibition and provide insights into the background of the exhibition concept.

On May 11, 2024, the exhibition MATIAS SPESCHA / ESTHER MATHIS – ESPACES IMAGINAIRES will open at Spazi Spescha in Trun. The exhibition lasts until October 27, 2024 and is curated by Seraina Peer, Venice Spescha and Markus Hilfiker. You are cordially invited to toast the exhibition!

Program
Two artists whose instruments sound wonderful together and who understand each other very well musically bring a stylistically wide-ranging program of old folk songs, new compositions written especially for Lisa Stoll, from pop to old popular hits, accompanied by Fabienne’s angelic voice, to the stage for a festive and cheerful concert. They have already performed many concerts together, all of which have met with great success. One of their highlights was definitely their appearance on the SRF Potzmusig TV show in 2021. With Lisa Stoll and Fabienne Romer, two renowned and talented musicians play to the delight of the audience – and to their own!

“Basically, the highest level of art would be reached if my work remained where I was when I left.” (Matias Spescha, 2006) Matias Spescha’s great wish, expressed two years before his death, is now coming true in full: after the realization of his heartfelt project, the monumental open-air sculpture OGNA, opened posthumously in 2013 near the banks of the Rhine in Trun, exactly 10 years later the complete works in the form of his artistic estate are now also finding a home in the artist’s homeland. A spacious, light-flooded exhibition hall has been set up in the former cloth factory. The opening exhibition of the SPAZI SPESCHA shows Matias Spescha (1925-2008) in a way that has never been seen before in Switzerland.
