Gala Concert
Christoph Sietzen, renowned marimba and percussion artist, will perform a solo concert in the OGNA sculpture on July 19, 2025, to mark the 100th birthday of Matias Spescha. Like many musicians before him, he is fascinated by the unique sound of this open space. He will, , like no other, explore the acoustic characteristics of the monumental concrete structure, consisting of two offset semicircles – both with the large marimba and with his impressive installation of percussion instruments that he designed himself.
The concert will feature Matias Spescha’s private musical inclinations, from Bach to jazz, as well as modern classics such as Séjourné and the minimal music of Philip Glass, whose abstraction perfectly matches the work of art being played.
